A diabetes detection camp was organized at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy on June 23,2001, under the joint auspices of the Amritha Diabetes Welfare Centre of the Amritha Institute of Medical Sciences, Ernakulam and the Haris B. Rehman Kakkessery Memorial Trust. A medical team comprising of six diabetologists gave leadership to the detection camp. Shri P. P. George, MLA and Executive Committee Member of the University inaugurated the programme. Dr. K. N. Muraleedharan Nayar, Dean, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences welcomed the gathering. Shri K.R.Muraleedharan, Registrar distributed awards, to the students.
