Regional Agricultural Research Station, (RARS) Pattambi, established in the year 1927 is all set to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee in October 2002. The beginning of the jubilee celebrations was marked by the release of logo during the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the seed store which is being constructedutilizing the Local Development Fund of the MP, Ottappalam, Shri S. Ajayakumar. An amount of Rs 10.40 lakhs was allotted for the seed store with all facilities for the long term storage of seeds. The foundation stone for the seed store was laid by Shri Ajayakumar, MP during January 2002 in a function presided over by Shri CP Muhammed, MLA. Dr. KV Peter, Vice-Chancellor hoisted the flag marking the beginning of the Platinum Jubilee year. The Platinum Jubilee logo was released by Shri VK Chandran, MLA by handing over the logo to Dr.K Karunakaran, the former Professor of KAU. Dr. PV Balachandran, Associate Director welcomed the dignitaries.
