AWARD TO KAU FACULTY

 

 

 

Dr. U. Ramachandran, Associate Dean, College of Co-operation, Banking and Management of KAU has been selected for the award of the BHARAT SHIKSHA RATAN AWARD for his achievements in the fields of education, social and community services.  The award is conferred by the Global Society for Health  and Educational Growth (Registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860), East Krishna Nagar, Delhi.

 

The award is instituted to honour personalities for their outstanding contribution in the respective field of activities.  Dr. Ramachandran joined the KAU in 1984 as Assistant Professor (Development Economics) and has served the University in various capacities. In addition to his prolonged tenure as the Associate Dean of the College of Co-operation, Banking and Management, the position he is holding now, he has earlier served  as Village Adaption and  lab to Land Programme  Implementing Officer, NSS Programme Officer, Academic Officer etc. He was earlier Associate Dean of the College of Agriculture, Padannakkad.  He has also co-ordinated National integration and adventure camps, NSS special camps, HRD training programmes etc. and has actively involved in the conduct of national and international seminars/workshops etc. organized by the University.

 

The award confirmation greeting says “The man who has done his level best and who is conscious that he has done his best, is a success”. The award distribution is scheduled to be held on 10th May 2011 at Speaker Hall, Constitution Club, Vithal Bhai Patel House, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.
