Mahindra Samriddhi Award - 2012

To inspire farmers for implementing Innovative Farming Technology, last year Mahindra Farm Equipment instituted Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards to recognize & reward the purposeful contributions by farmers and agri institutions towards the development of Indian Agriculture.  The Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards 2011 was first of its kind in tractor industry. The award ceremony was held at Hotel Ashoka on 21^st Feb’11 & Honourable Minister for Agriculture  Sh. Sharad Pawar was the Chief Guest for the award ceremony

This year, the Mahindra Samriddhi India Agri Awards 2012 is presented in the following seven categories honouring the farmers who have been instrumental in implementing IFT, thus changing the agricultural scenario in their region

1. Mahindra Samriddhi Male Farmer 2012

2. Mahindra Samriddhi Lady Farmer 2012

3. Mahindra Samriddhi Young Farmer 2012 (This is a new category we introduced based on valuable feedback of our Jury members)

4. Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Sansthan Samman 2012 – Honouring the Public Sector Organizations (PSO) committed to the development of IFT or a broad policy on agriculture that has become instrumental in changing the lives of hundreds of farmers

5. Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Shiksha Samman 2012 – Honouring Agriculture Universities who have made a noteworthy contribution in the field of agriculture by disseminating IFT through Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK), thus impacting the lives of Indian farmers

6. Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Sahyog Samman 2012 – Honouring NGOs/SHGs working in the field of Agriculture for purposeful contributions in the field of agriculture, thus impacting the lives of farmers

7. Mahindra Samriddhi Krishi Shiromani Samman 2012 – Recognition for lifetime achievement in the field of agriculture; presented to a renowned personality in the agri space whose contribution is recognized at national and international levels
