ICAR’s 16th ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO BACHELOR (AIEEA-UG-2011) AND MASTER (AIEEA-PG-2011) DEGREE PROGRAMS IN AGRICULTURE AND ALLIED SCIENCES AT AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITIES FOR 2011-12.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has invited applications from Indian Nationals, in the prescribed format, for ICAR’s 16th AIEEA-UG-2011 and AIEEA-PG-2011 on 100% seats at ICAR-Deemed Universities (Bachelor degree at NDRI Karnal only while Master degrees at IARI, IVRI, NDRI and CIFE), and on 15% seats (tentative) for Bachelor degrees and 25% seats (tentative) for Master degrees at State Agricultural Universities, Central Agricultural University Imphal, Central Universities with Agricultural Faculty (Banaras Hindu University, Viswa Bharati, Nagaland University and Aligarh Muslim University (for PG only)) and SHIATS Allahabad for the academic session 2011-12. Bachelor Degree programmes (viz. B.Sc./B.Tech./ B.F.Sc. etc.) are in the subjects of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries Sciences, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Marketing, Banking & Co-operation, and Commercial Agriculture & Business Management. Master’s Degree programmes are in the field of Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri. Engineering, Home Science, Biotechnology, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences, Dairy Technology, Fisheries, Veterinary, and allied sciences. Based on the results of AIEEA-UG-2011 examination, National Talent Scholarships (NTS) are awarded to Bachelor degree students whereas based on the merit-rank in AIEEA-PG-2011 examination, 475 ICAR-Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) are awarded to Master's degree students. (This examination does not include admission to Bachelor degree programmes in Veterinary Sciences.)

The application and Information bulletin for All India Competitive Examinations for UG / PG admissions in Agriculture and Allied Sciences for the Academic year 2011-2012 is now available in KAU Headquarters, Vellanikkara from 10 AM to 3 PM on all working days. The cost of application form is as follows:
i) For UG (General)/OBC/UPS - Rs.425/-
UG (SC/ST/PH category) - Rs.225/-
ii) For PG (Gen/OBC/UPS category) - Rs.525/-
PG (SC/ST/PH category) - Rs. 275/-
Those who have registered at Kerala Agricultural University for the application forms are requested to collect the same by remitting the fees, within 2 days.
Booking for applications
As the Application forms for ICAR UG and PG courses are not readily available at the KAU Headquarters, Vellanikkara, in order to remove the difficulties of the public and with a view for proper distribution of the forms received by post from ICAR, the following arrangements are being made at the KAU Headquarters, Vellanikkara:
Application forms can be booked at KAU Headquarters by entering the name of the applicant, category and mobile number, in the register maintained therein. On receipt of the application forms by post from ICAR, the applicants will be informed about the availability through the mobile phone number provided. On intimation, they will have to collect the form from the Headquarters office within 24 hours, failing which the forms will be distributed to other persons. The forms will be distributed strictly according to the serial number.

Further it may also be noted that application forms can be downloaded from the site www.icar.org.in and can also be procured by post from ICAR, New Delhi
