for sale through ATIC
a) Fruit plants
The fruit plants (seedlings / grafts / layers) available for sale through ATIC
are mango, jack, sapota, acid lime, annona, ari nelli, banana suckers, bilumbi,
bread fruit, caronda cherry, chamba, egg fruit, guava, lemon, love-lovi, malayan
apple, mangosteen, nelli, orange, papaya, plum, pomegranate, rambootan and west
indian cherry.
b) Plantation crops
Arecanut varieties - mangla, sumangla, sreemangala, southcanara and sigon
Coconut varieties- kuttiyadi, komadan and WCT
Cashew grafts and coffee

c) Spices (Grafts/seedlings/layers)
Garcinia, pepper, nutmeg , vanilla, African coriander, all spice, bush pepper,
cinnamon, clove, curry leaf, mint, turmeric seed.
d) Medicinal plants
Aadalodakam, chethikoduveli, chittaratha, danthapala, elanji, eruveli, ithi
arogyapacha, chakkarakkolli, koovalam, kacholam, aaval, alpam, amkolam,
amukkuram, arutha, aryaveppu, asokam, asparagus, athi, ayyappana, bhadraksham,
brahmi, changalamparanda, chathuramulla, cheriya, kacholam, kallurukki,

e) Vegetable Seedlings
Drumstick, agathicheera, capsicum, chilly, brinjal and tomato.
f) Vegetable Seeds
Bitter gourd, ashgourd, cucumber, hybrid variety of Bhindi, viz Salkeerthy,
Aruna and Arka Anamika, Tomato-sakthi, mukthi, Pumpkin-ambili, suvarna, cowpea -
sariga, malika, vyjayanthi, lola, kanakamani, Amaranthus-Co-1, arun, karnataka
local. Snake gourd-TA-19, koumudhi, capsicum, Brinjal-soorya, haritha, swetha,
jack bean, winged bean, Chilli - ujwala, jwalamuki

g) Processed products
The demands for processed products are found to be almost stable. Squash
accounted for more than 50% of the processed products sold followed by Jam and
Cashew apple syrup. Different types of pickles are also sold through the ATIC

h) Meat and Meat products
Beef cutlet (200 gm Pack), beef sausage (250 gm), beef (1 kg), cocktail sausage
(250 gm), dog pack, pork sausage (250 gm), pork (1 kg), pork (1/2 kg), beef
liver (1 kg), broiler chicken (Dressed), mutton (1 kg pack), keema (Salted 1/2
kg), beef kuruma (Curry - 250 gm), pork pickle (250 gm), beef pickle (250 gm),
veal (1 kg), pork fry, desi pork (1 kg)


i) Dairy products
Ghee (500 ml), ice cream (100 ml), khoa (25 gm), paneer (250 gm), whey drink
(200 ml), butter milk (500 ml), flavoured milk (200 ml), ice cream (50 ml),
chocolate, ice cream (500 ml Plain), pasteurized buffalo milk (500 ml), curd
(Low Fat-500 ml) and pasteurized cow milk (500 ml).
j) Miscellaneous products
A large collection of ornamental and forestry plants are also available for
sale. Eggs are also sold through the veterinary sales counter.
k) Agricultural Library
'Karshika Vayanashala' (Agricultural Library) - In the library information on
agriculture and alliled sectors, Internet files, leaflets, folders and news
paper clippings are catalogued and properly filed. The Karshika Vayanashala is
open from 10 am to 5 pm. All KAU publications are made available for reference
in this library. Visual display using video casettes are also provided in this
library. Facilities for subscription of the trimonthly publication of KAU- "Kalpadhenu"
is possible at ATIC.
