‘Kiranam-2002’ enthuse farmers

Kiranam 2002, the village level study camp and the Krishi Vigyan Mela organized by the B.Sc. (Ag.) final year students of the College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara from November 21-28 at Pudussery Grama Panchayat, Palakkad District enthused the farmers and attracted crowds.

High yielding varieties of plantains and vegetable crops, art works from coconut fibre and shells, farm inputs and different varieties of seeds and insecticides to resist various crop diseases found part in the exhibition.

The village stay and household survey in the Pudussery Grama Panchayat was inaugurated by Shri V.S. Achuthanandan, Leader of Opposition on November 21. Agro-clinics at different locations, agricultural exhibition and seminar, field visits and agricultural survey were the main programmes under the RAWE.
