The University is implementing the lab-to-land programme of the ICAR selecting and adopting small and marginal farmers and landless labourers belonging to the weaker sections of the society. The programme is now implemented at the three KVKs at Ambalavayal, Pattambi and Sadanandapuram. The enterprises selected under the programme are hybrid rice, coconut based cropping system, vegetable cultivation, backyard poultry, pepper and banana cultivation. Three hundred farmers and agricultural labourers are getting the benefit of the programme.
