The Kerala Agricultural University has been awarded the First prize for securing the maximum number of Junior Research Fellowship of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research during 2007. This covetable prize was won by competing with 40 other State Agricultural Universities and 10 other institutions offering courses in agriculture. The award was received by the Vice Chancellor, Sri. K.R. Viswambharan, I.A.S. from the Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Sri. Sharad Pawar during the Agricultural University Vice Chancellors’ Conference conducted by the ICAR at New Delhi on 19.1.2008. The Director General of ICAR and the Deputy Director General (Education) were also present during the presentation ceremony. The Hon’ble Minister and the Director General congratulated the students and faculty of Kerala Agricultural University for the covetable achievement.
